I still love the common Viburnum opulus – one of the few plants I inherited in this garden – it’s lovely in a vase with lilac

Paeony ‘Late Windflower’ has flowers reminiscent of Romneya (which I can’t grow here) but these wonderful flowers grow in shade

If all the blossom sets on the Ballerina apple there’ll be a lot of thinning to do.
