Lip na Cloiche Nursery and Garden

Lip na Cloiche Nursery and Garden is on Mull. Owner Lucy Mackenzie bought a steeply sloping patch of land with a ruined bothy on it ten years ago, transformed the bothy into a traditional style house and set about creating the garden. Overlooking the nearby island of Ulva and benefiting from the Gulf Stream, it is a garden full of flourishing, sometimes exotic, plants and lots of quirky details. She is a great beachcomber and scavenger, so the garden is decorated with driftwood, ropes and old iron bedheads, all arranged among the plants. Her very green fingers mean that she is a talented propagator and the plants in her nursery are robust and well grown.
