Grilled Garlic

I managed to get the garlic and shallots planted before the weather changed and now its turned cold they should get the chilling they need to help them form their bulbs next year. The wire grill is not about some weird obsession I have with planting in straight rows. It’s to stop the cat digging in the bed. I will remove it once the soil has settled sufficiently to be less alluring to him and the neighbourhood cats.
