The ‘Home Grown Feature’ was where agriculture met horticulture. The ‘Fields of Gold’ had many of the elements of a modern farm with blocks of sunflowers, maize, corn (complete with poppies) and a tractor and baler.

the aah factor

Adjoining this was the market garden where a chicken and duck run had some very appealing residents.

It also featured flowers and vegetables grown to envy-inducing perfection.
