Problematic Paperwhites

I would love to have paperwhite narcissi indoors, but Andrew can’t bear the smell of them so I now grow a few in the greenhouse for my own pleasure and pot the rest up for display outdoors, where they have been flowering since the beginning of January. They are surprisingly robust too – even in last month’s gales they stayed upright.  Sometimes compromises are surprisingly satisfactory.
