A Garden Library

Someone quoted Cicero on our Facebook page saying :

‘If you have a library and a garden you have everything’.

It must be obvious by now that I have a garden, but I’m also fortunate enough to have the space for a library of gardening books that I have put together over the years  and which takes up an entire wall of the sitting room (except for one small section for my grandson’s books). So if you have been wondering how come I’m such a know-it-all, it’s because I only have to cross the room from my desk to consult the experts.  Yes, I know there’s the worldwide web, but sometimes it’s so much nicer to hold a book in your hand and feel a connection with the person who wrote it.
