Gresgarth Hall for a Hamamelis Open Day

International landscape designer Arabella Lennox-Boyd opened her remarkable gardens at Gresgarth Hall for a Hamamelis Open Day on 13th February 2010 when the extensive collection was at its best. Prized for their scented flowers with ‘crinkled ribbon’ petals in tones of yellow to mahogany, Arabella’s hamamelis collection includes old favourites, such as H. x intermedia ‘Diane’ with its rich mahogany red flowers, along side lesser known gems like H. ‘Doerak’ with lemon-peel yellow flowers and H. x intermedia ‘Lanzing’ with striking, gingery-orange flowers.
