The Daphnes are Delightful

Three of my daphnes are flowering, or on the point of doing so – D.‘Jacqueline Postil’ has been out for the best part of a month. Rather puzzlingly, Daphne retusa has been flowering in a modest way most of the winter and D.odora ‘Aureomarginata’ is covered in fat pink buds that will burst into flower any day now. I don’t remember D.retusa behaving this way before – very odd.

  1. Can smell them from here- just a joy

  2. Ah, I saw one of these plants at the market yesterday and I’ve never seen one before I don’t think?! It looked lovely and I would have bought it but I just couldn’t transport it home. What a co-incidence I’ve just seen your post on them!

Now you know Anna – perhaps you’ll buy one next time you’re at the market.
