The cool weather during most of May might not have been welcomed by us, but the lettuces clearly loved it. They are looking wonderful and we are enjoying daily pickings. The rather unattractive mulch surrounding them is Slug Gone – the wool pellet slug deterrent – not pretty but mighty effective.
