Isabelle Palmer set up her internet company the balcony gardener when she found it difficult to buy appropriate products and plants for her tiny urban balcony garden. She has now written a book to inspire others to have a go even if they have never grown anything before and have no more than a windowbox. The Balcony Gardener (£12.95 Cico Books) is available on her website along with lots of stylish gardening products.
