Babiana angustifolia, Romulea cruciata and Geissorhiza radians

I’m still working my way through my wildflower photos from the Western Cape attempting to identify at least some of the flowers I’ve seen. I can only identify those that appear in the Flora I bought and sometimes,  because I don’t have a clue about the genus, that involves leafing through the entire book until I come across something similar and then I can start narrowing it down.  As someone who is pretty knowledgeable on European flora, it is interesting to be transformed into a beginner.

Gladiolus alatus and Heliophila

  1. Hi Stephanie,

I’m glad to hear that you find it interesting to be “transformed into a beginner” because that’s when one opens up for more learning. Good for you.
The Babiana angustifolia, Romulea cruciata and Geissorhiza radians in the first photo are gorgeous but the two toned Geissorhiza radians is my personal favorite.
Thanks for doing such a good job at identifying these beauties.
