A Sufficiency of Sweet Peas

My autumn-sown sweetpeas always do really well, but inevitably they start to wind down just at the point when my friends spring-sown seeds get into their stride, so I’ve just sown some more to see if I can avoid ‘late-season sweetpea envy’ this year. Of course I’m making a rod for my own back – as much as I adore them, picking them is a time-consuming process and it is essential to pick as often as possible to avoid them setting seed. But hey, too many sweetpeas is a nice problem to have.

  1. Too many sweetpeas also means an abundance of fragrance in the garden :)
