After all the despair about the tomatoes because of the poor light levels, checking back I find that they are exactly where they should be! I’ve started picking them at exactly the same time as last year and the first three Brandywine added up to an impressive 772grams (1lb 7oz) in weight (that does not include the weight of the dish). So I’m back on my favourite lunchtime treat of walnut sourdough tomato sandwiches.
